Jermaine Smit, also known as Concept Creator, has apparently been able to get hold of the back of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, and has shown it in a video. To do this, he has placed a Samsung Galaxy S10 on top of the structure.

This has allowed us to see what the Galaxy S21 FE will look like "in person", from behind.

Although we were able to see some photos of the back of the mobile before, now we have been able to do it much more clearly, and in addition, the user has confirmed that it will be made of plastic.

The fact that the back of the Galaxy S21 FE fits so well against the body of the Samsung Galaxy S10 suggests that the two phones will be very similar in size. This is something that surprises us, since the S10 was only 6.1 inches in size, while the Galaxy S21 FE is rumored to be 6.4 inches.

It will be necessary to see if the explanation for this is that the frames of the S21 FE are thinner... or if the user of the video has manipulated the back.

Smit has also talked about the specifications of the Galaxy S21 FE in the video, but the truth is that these are things that we had already heard. Perhaps the only exception is the mention of January 11 as the mobile launch date, where he has emphasized that it could be subject to change.

It is interesting that Smit has said that date, since although Jon Prosser also spoke of January 11, the latest leaks point to CES 2022, which will be held a few days before. Anyway... there's less left to find out.

Opinion: too close, too late

Although from what we have heard so far it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be an interesting mobile, it may be too late to succeed.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is expected to launch just a month after the S21 FE, and is sure to be a huge upgrade.

And of course, the Galaxy S21 FE will be much cheaper, but... will its price be much lower than what the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus will cost by then, which will already be on sale?

Well, we don't know for sure, but it is very likely that the difference is small. In fact, we would not be surprised if the Galaxy S21 could be bought for less money than the S21 FE, since one will have been on the market for a year while the other will be a newcomer.

Therefore, unless Samsung surprises us with a much lower price for the Galaxy S21 FE than this range usually costs, we do not fully understand what is the point of launching this mobile at this point. A few months ago it would have been a good move, but... January? Competition from Samsung's own other phones is likely to be too strong.
