Almost three years after its launch, it remains a relevant device that still occupies a place in the pockets of countless users. On the other hand, the more a device is used, the more likely it is that something goes wrong... but there are solutions. Do not change your phone if you do not want to: here we bring you the remedies for the main problems of the Samsung Galaxy S10.

Samsung Galaxy S10 problems and their solutions

Problem: an app crashes or presents the Force Close error

A big problem that has plagued Galaxy S10 owners since its launch has been some instability with apps. It seems that these tend to crash or present the Force Close error. This has happened with a wide variety of apps and has even been reported after the Android 11 update. This is not just a problem with the Galaxy S10, other Galaxy phones have also had this problem.

Problem: Fingerprint reader difficulties

It seems that some S10 phone users have reported problems with the fingerprint reader, according to some threads on the XDA Developer forum. Users get error messages asking them to push the reader harder and others complain that only 20 percent of the time.

Solution:

Problem: Bluetooth connection disappears when screen is off

A broken Bluetooth connection can be extremely annoying, especially if it disappears while you're using Bluetooth headphones/headphones or listening to songs in the car. Unfortunately, several S10 users are complaining that their phones are losing their Bluetooth connections while in use, interrupting songs, podcasts, and phone calls.

Most people find that while Bluetooth connects fine at first, it randomly disconnects while the screen is off, only to reconnect once the phone is on.

Solution:

Problem: Weak LTE connection

5G may be the star of the moment, but today 4G is still the best for most users. That's why it's very annoying when it doesn't work. Many users report that their Galaxy S10 Plus has an extremely weak 4G connection, and is loading web pages and other content very slowly, while switching between 4G and 3G. But it is not just a problem with the S10 Plus as Galaxy S10 users have also reported the problem.

Most of the people who reported the problem used their cell phones through the Sprint network, although there are complaints from other countries, so it may not be entirely related to your carrier.

Solution:

Problem: Poor Battery Life

With significantly larger batteries than previous S-series flagships, the Galaxy S10 family boasts vastly improved battery life. However, some users reported that their cell phones do not offer all the autonomy they should, and that some lose 30 percent of their charge when they are not used overnight. This issue mainly affected Samsung Exynos versions equipped with S10 range chips, which are used by most phones outside of the US. While Exynos chips have traditionally delivered worse battery performance than their US counterparts, this problem is too extreme to be a simple difference between processors.

It seems that the problem could well be two problems. The first is in the device's proximity sensors, which means the phone's screen accidentally turns on while it's in a pocket or bag, increasing battery drain. The second is a bug that prevents the phone's battery saving feature from activating after the phone has completed a VoIP call in apps like Skype or WhatsApp. The second flaw only affected S10 phones with Exynos.

There is currently no solution for this problem. Fortunately, there are a couple of workarounds that you can try to help improve the performance of your device.

Alternative solutions:

Problem: Overheating

When Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 got a bad reputation for poorly functioning batteries, many people also started paying more attention to the temperature of their devices. Samsung has addressed and fixed the issue of batteries catching on fire; however, tech consumers continue to wonder if their phones are at a “normal” level of heat or not. Understandably, no one wants their phone to go up in flames.

First of all, it is good to clarify that it is normal for phones, tablets and laptops to feel warm to the touch, especially when they are constantly running. However, in the case of Samsung, overheating is a somewhat more common problem and if your phone explodes or catches fire out of the blue, then it is something bigger. The South Korean company has already experienced this type of problem with several of its products, and that includes the S10, S10 Plus, and S10e.

For the vast majority, mind you, these were minor problems. However, there were other less fortunate users whose equipment suddenly overheated, quickly consuming the battery.
