With the iPhone 13 almost completely exposed, rumors of the competition arrive: the Samsung Galaxy S22, which according to the latter can arrive in January 2022.

At least according to "multiple industry sources" who have allegedly spoken to Pulse News. This is likely to be the case, as the Samsung Galaxy S21 range landed in January 2021. Although there is always the possibility that they are wrong and that the launch will go back to February or March, as in previous years.

Press also ensures that the Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra will have a five-lens camera in the back, a main 200MP sensor and Olympus camera and optics manufacturer technology.

The 200MP thing is something we've heard before. We know for a fact that Samsung is working on a 200MP camera, but we Don't know if it's destined for S22 or not. A recent rumor from a reliable source states that the 200MP sensor will not reach the Samsung Galaxy S22 and that the Korean company will opt for a 108MP sensor.

Olympus is also something we've heard before. Other smartphone companies have partnered with camera brands-Huawei with Leica and OnePlus with Hasselblad-so it wouldn't be surprising. Samsung's cameras are already good in themselves, so we Don't know if you really need to associate with a third party unless it's for marketing reasons.

Five glasses on the S22 ultra

On the five lenses of the Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra, it is a completely new statement. It's possible. It would be one more than the Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra. It's a number we've seen before on other phones-like in the Nokia 9 PureView-and it could help the S22 ultra stand out on the competition.

On the other hand, another alleged source says that the Galaxy S22 ultra could have a continuous zoom lens, which means it would offer optical zoom at all zoom levels, such as a DSLR camera target. This contrasts with the S21 ultra, which only offers optical zoom at 3x and 10x with two different lenses.

If the S22 ultra really has continuous optical zoom, it can offer all the functionality of the Galaxy S21 ultra camera (and more) with one less lens. I mean, I wouldn't need one more lens as this new rumor says. Or, if so, we'D have two completely new lenses.

If this were the case, the new lenses could be macro and depth sensors. Still, we are not convinced that rumors about pentallent and continuous optical zoom are true.

Finally, this rumor states that the Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra will be compatible with the S Pen, which does not surprise us at all since the S21 ultra already is. The only thing you Don't know is if the S22 will have a slot this time to save the pencil.
