The reasons for the renewal of the plan

This last year the Argentine technology market was marked by the coronavirus pandemic. The confinement measures generated an increase in digital interactions and in the use of cell phones, laptops and tablets.

In the case of Samsung, Dascanio explained to iProfesional that since the start of the pandemic in Argentina they have seen double-digit growth in sales in these categories, including wearable products, such as watches, and wireless headphones and earphones.

"In tablets, the change was very strong, in the mode of use. Before the pandemic, it had a very low value to be used only for entertainment. Today they are used for work, education, social gatherings," he pointed out.

This intensive use added to the recession of the economy highlighted the need for benefit programs for the renewal of equipment, such as the exchange plan, as verified by the brand subsidiary between last year and this 2021.

"With these programs, consumers are more encouraged to buy," said Dascanio, who also stressed that the prices of this equipment in Argentina are "very competitive" on a global level.

What happens to the equipment delivered by users in this exchange plan? Samsung sends them to Mirgor, the company that manufactures its devices in Tierra del Fuego, so that it reuses the components that are good and reconditions them to put them back on sale.
