How does the invisible charger work?

Following the trend of not seeing cables anywhere, Ikea launched a charger called “SJÖMÄRKE” that is placed under the table and which can supply power to any smartphone with wireless charging by placing it at the same height as the charger.

As can be seen in the launch video, the invisible charger contains two adhesive tapes with which you can stick it to a wooden table that must be between 8 and 22 millimeters thick for it to work properly.

Although it seems to be a very innovative charger, it also has some limitations, since compared to other realme or Magsafe chargers, the power is much lower.

It has a power of 19W, which gives any cell phone a charge of less than 5W, which will be reflected in a longer charging time.

How to get it?

It is undoubtedly an interesting proposal if it is used in a workspace in which a fast charge is not urgent. Although another great disadvantage is that you do not completely free yourself from cables since it also has a 1.8-meter cable that you must connect to the electrical current.
