The Pixel 6 range is one of the most exciting and powerful Google suites in recent years. Unlike the previous generation of Pixel devices, this year's devices are powered by an internally developed SoC known as Tensor.
While it's still unclear which components come from Google itself, the new Titan M2 security chip and TPU for AI operations have certainly been designed by the tech giant.
This is accompanied by a new visual design that makes Pixel devices more appealing. The Pixel 6 features a 6.4-inch 90Hz display, while the Pixel 6 Pro, which is its larger cousin, features a 6.7-inch 120Hz display that's sure to turn heads.
According to Google, the internally developed Tensor SoC is 80% faster than the Pixel 5's CPU, while the GPU will provide a whopping 370% performance boost.
The addition of the internal SoC also means that Google can optimize the CPU better just like Apple did on the iPhone. Also, it seems that Google is trying to differentiate the Pixel 6 Pro from the Pixel 6, since the former is no longer just a larger screen variant than the Pixel 6.
Aside from the price difference, the Pixel 6 Pro has more RAM and an extra 48MP telephoto lens. Additionally, the Pixel 6 Pro's storage options go up to 512GB compared to the Pixel 6's 256GB.
The Mountain View tech giant also clarified that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not be coming to India due to "global demand supply issues."
We would like to remind you that the Pixel 4 and Pixel 5 have not yet entered the Indian smartphone market either. Google recently started reserving the device on the Google Store, which has been plagued with a number of issues ranging from delayed shipping time until the store completely collapses.
Many also said they were unable to shop despite having the device in their cart.
Pixel 6 series software updates
