In recent days I have been able to spend a lot of time on Wear OS, an operating system made by Google and based on Android (originally called Android Wear), which is now designing in collaboration with Samsung.

In addition, I was able to test many products from other brands that do not use Wear OS, which made me aware of the disadvantages of this system.

So, in the same way that I said what are the 3 features that all smartwatches should have, now I leave you with three bugs that Google needs to correct in Wear OS.

Unable to pair the watch with another mobile phone without formatting it

This is the key to Wear OS for those of us devoted to phone testing, I change models dozens of times a year (I analyzed 60 different units a year) and Wear OS doesn't allow you to change phones without reformatting the watch.

Imagine you need to format your clock every week.

But while the average user doesn't switch cell phones that much, which is normal, having two different devices, one for work and the other for personal use, is impossible with a Wear OS watch.

Do not notify when we forget about the phone

This defect is even more annoying as it would be very easy to fix it. In most competing watches (Amazfit, Huawei, Honor ...) disconnecting the bracelet or smartwatch from the phone will alert us with vibration.

This prevents the phone from being forgotten or stolen without our noticing.

In Wear OS, this is not possible, and while there are applications that do this, reduce autonomy, and many of them are no longer available in new versions of the system.

Google Assistant is worse than on other devices

The last objection concerns the Google Assistant. For this to work we need a clock with a very efficient processor, yet there seems to be limitations in use.

For example, we are unable to send WhatsApp messages from the wrist, although the assistant does not always indicate there are problems.

Google has made a great effort with voice recognition in its assistant, but it doesn't treat it the same on watches as it does on other devices.
