Finally a Tiny iPhone Power Adapter

The Anker Nano Pro is not a GaN adapter though of new generation, it is super compact. So much so that it reminds me of the official 5W iPhone charger that was previously sold in the US. The European equivalent was hexagonal in shape, much bulkier.

Now, with this one from Anker, I see that wish fulfilled: being able to take a power adapter with fast charging anywhere in my pocket. It is not the fastest of those that exist on the market, but it does offer a very attractive minimum of 20 watts. According to the brand, we can charge the battery to 50% in just 25 minutes.

In our tests we went from 17% to 54% in about 23 minutes. And from 45% to 83% in 35 minutes. Although these numbers are not exhaustive, we did notice a considerable charging speed similar to that of the old Apple 18W adapter (much bulkier).

Here we must point out that this Anker accessory has USB Power Delivery technology, the one officially required by Apple for fast charging on the iPhone. Of course, we will need a USB-C to Lightning cable to recharge the iPhone. The one that comes in the iPhone box will suffice.

Anker's Nano Pro adapter is a very attractive accessory. Its price is 19.99 euros, higher than what you can find in other brands. But the weight, reduced dimensions and compatibility are assured.
