Until the iPhone 12, Apple users could activate or deactivate a noise cancellation function for telephone calls through accessibility configuration. For an unknown reason, this function was never available for iPhone 13 users, and have been waiting for Apple for months to solve this problem.

A few days ago, a Reddit user published a complaint that the iPhone 13 lacks “a front microphone that is used for noise cancellation.La configuración se puede encontrar en Accesibilidad -> Audio / Visual «.Although the user was right about the function that was missing, it was not right about the iPhone 13 had less microphones than the iPhone 12.

Other Reddit users correctly pointed out that this is not a hardware problem and pointed out a discussion in the Apple forum in October. There, the RPWILS2 user wrote:

I can't find the switch to turn off the [noise] cancellation function on the iPhone 13 pro max.Has this moved or eliminated? When I use facetime and speak through the speaker, my voice is cut.

Los usuarios de iPhone 13 siguen esperando que Apple aborde la falta de cancelación de ruido en las llamadas telefónicas

Then, an Apple community specialist indicated an article to help users adjust the audio configuration on the iPhone. The problem is that iPhone 13 users cannot find this specific characteristic:

Telephone noise cancellation: Light it to reduce environmental background noise in telephone calls when the headset holds in your ear.

Another user, Dagocarlito, published that Apple is aware of this problem:

The iPhone 13 "never" has had this option with iOS 15 because it is a technical problem.I've been talking to Apple's support about it.It is a known problem that they are working without a resolution schedule at this time. This problem also creates problems with echoes in Carplay when talking between iPhone 13.It is an important failure that must be resolved as soon as possible.

The problem is that this discussion goes back to October 29, which has almost two months.Apple recently launched iOS 15.2, who did not solve this problem, and even with iOS 15.3 beta, the problem persists.

As you can see in the image above, on the left side is my iPhone XS with this function, and on the right side, the iPhone 13 Pro without the telephone noise cancellation function. From now on, the only alternative solution available would be to activate the voice isolation function in a call in the control center.
